Every Lumière & Co piece is made and checked with care. We provide a 90-day workmanship guarantee from the date your order is delivered. This guarantee is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.
What the guarantee covers
The guarantee covers manufacturing or workmanship faults that arise during normal wear, including:
- a soldered join failing because of a workmanship defect;
- a clasp or fastening failing because of a manufacturing defect;
- a stone becoming loose because of a setting defect; and
- a personalised detail not matching the order information supplied at checkout because of our error.
What the guarantee does not cover
The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, loss, misuse, impact, pulling or snagging, scratches caused by wear, damage caused by incorrect storage or cleaning, repairs or resizing carried out by another party, natural tarnishing, or the gradual wear of gold or rose-gold vermeil plating. Exposure to water, perfume, cosmetics, household chemicals or abrasive products may accelerate wear and is not treated as a workmanship fault.
How to make a claim
Email hello@lumiereandco.net with your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs of the piece. Please do not arrange a third-party repair before we assess it, as this can make the original cause of the issue difficult to determine.
Assessment and remedy
We will assess the piece and confirm the available remedy. Where the guarantee applies, we will normally repair or replace the item without charge. If neither option is reasonable or available, we will provide another appropriate remedy in line with your statutory rights.
Normal wear and tear is not a manufacturing fault. If an issue is outside the guarantee, we may still be able to offer a paid repair or replacement; any cost will be confirmed before work begins.
Your statutory rights
This voluntary guarantee does not replace or reduce your rights under applicable consumer law. You may have rights to a repair, replacement or refund even after the 90-day guarantee period has ended.
